Kid’s archtop guitar project

Designs and Roughing Work

So this is epic awesomeness. I started out on an archtop project for my little girl Allie. She is a tiny little peanut of a 4 year old, and always asks to play daddy’s archtop. So I’vve decided to take some time out in the shop and make her first archtop guitar. Its a scaled down version of my regular archtop design with a 10″ wide body, small nut width and a 15″ scale length. Not sure of the tuning yet- maybe up a 4th or 5th. Its quite little- almost like working on a mandolin or something. Still kinda big on Allie, but she’ll be able to grow into it. Pretty funny project. Not a joke guitar though! The woods are aged and high grade like a regular project. She’ll be able to keep it as an heirloom!
