All four of the guitars I’ve been working on came together quite well, and are all sanded out ready for paint. One guitar will be a tiger eye finish like this, two will be winebursts like this (initial ground stain shown here- more color work coming up), and the forth will be a dark green burst like this (color stage soon). These pics show some staining and the initial sealer coats of lacquer.
As expected the spruce soundboards really blew up with beautiful earthy figure, and the maple looks sweet all around too. Figured woods never cease to amaze me.
I hope to be done with the painting by the end of next week!
