Hi everyone its been a while since i posted an update. Figure i better get back into it- lots of cool stuff happening at the shop so stay tuned. This latest project is for my client Todd and is actually an overhaul. It started out as a laminate top guitar that Todd purchased a while ago, and I replaced the top with a carved spruce one for better performance and a woodier tone. I’m super pleased with the results- sounds and looks fantastic. Its a 16″ x 2-1/2″ model, more comfy than a full depth 16″. The project was pretty massive, it involved major surgery to remove the old soundboard, replace it with the upgrade carve top and replace it with matched binding. I decided it was best to completely remove the old finish and restain it all to match with no scars (haha). Looks brand new! WHEW! tough one! Lots of work, but as usual in this biz it really just pays to go the extra mile!!!
