Category Archives: News Lot’s of finish work this week on the spring projects. The stain and lacquer are flying! Not a gargantuan post this time since there were lots of days of plain old sanding. But some good shots of the real knockout wood that has been revealed by the stain and lacquer. Intense!!!  Another huge week of progress on all the spring archtop guitars. Man its getting good! An L5 size Model 17 for Patrick Sullivan. Nice big and bouncing round tone that you only can get out of the large boxes. Super fun to play!! Great sounding Euro tonewoods with a classic violin burst. FUN!!!

 These guitars are for my clients Donato and Patrice who are return customers (this is their 2nd VB each). I’ve been tweaking and adjusting, playing and polishing. Serious fun!
