Winter archtop guitar projects- assembly complete! Onward to paint!!

The winter guitars all all together and looking great! Assembly stage is a wrap, and the guitars were all prepped and detailed for stain and finish work this coming week. Looking forward to seeing the finish pop the wood! These pics show a bunch of assembly shots and a healthy dose of binding steps. Was fun seeing the ebony binding take shape on the 16. Tough stuff but worth the effort.

There are some pics of the beginnings of a special Model 15″ that i am making as my 350th guitar. Gonna have some nice features, more on that soon! I decided to make it a special edition laminate with a floating mini block- they sound freaking great!  It will have some killer woods- i used some of the insane flame mahogany I got in for the neck. I sliced some special bearclaw wood from a block of spruce from Italy to make the show face. Back is going to be 1pc maple in super heavy flame. Gonna be a looker!

Also started on a new model called the “Basic”. I want to offer an affordable player guitar that is just bare bones meant for hard use. Maybe in the under $3500 range- laminate woods / floating mini block / ultra light / satin stain finish etc  More info soon!!
