Summer projects! ergonomic archtop, a couple chambered 14″ thinline archtops…

Here are 3 of the projects i’ve been working on this summer! Ive been taking a slight break from my onslaught of blog picture taking but i wanted to snap a few pics of these guitars after they got their final clear coats. Looking sweet!

The first one is a violin shade ergo archtop. Basically a variation of the guitar i made for Dan Phillips a few months ago, but with only 20 frets (more in line with a regular archtop- Dan’s had 24), single neck pickup and fully hollow design with no center block.

The 2nd guitar is one of my thinline archtops that i am making for inventory. Its a SUPER lightweight guitar that i predict will come in at 5 lbs. The body is spanish cedar, lightweight honduras mahogany neck, and topped with a crazy crazy bearclaw sitka spruce top. Very rare and intense figure!!

The 3rd guitar is the same design in a tobacco sunburst, super lightweight too! Honduras body and neck, sitka top. Both guitars have a comfy belly cut and arm bevel. Built for speed!

This trio is freshly painted, i’ll wait a week or two before i polish them out and set them up! CANT WAIT.
