Summer archtop guitar projects- Mega Post Part 4! COLORS!!!

Well, its one of those milestone markers in the projects when the color goes on the guitars. One of my favorites too! The guitars are all dressed up after staining and coloring an are getting clear coats. Not a bad one in the bunch, I’m very excited about all the projects. Lots of fantastic things going on with the figure in the wood. The clear coats are starting to pop and accentuate things too since it acts as sort of a lens over the wood. Never gets old!!

 

I should be done with the clear coats this week, then the guitars will sit and cure for a couple weeks as the lacquer hardens. A little tortuous of a wait, but if you open a wine bottle too soon its still just grape juice haha!
