Archtop Number 300!! planning stage…

Man where does the time go? I’ve started work on my 300th guitar this month along with 2 other spring projects. I started making my first guitar back in 1998, and if you would have told me then that in 2013 i would be starting my 300 guitar i would have called you a dreamer. But thankfully I didnt stop dreaming of guitars and here I am to my great surprise. Number 300 is here and I’ve got some huge plans in the works. This post shows some planning stage drawings. Ive come up with a new crown inlay pattern that I will be executing for the first time. The guitar will also have a commemorative “300” engraving on the backplate that looks SICK! But the centerpiece is going to be the headstock inlay. I am really into the Art Nouveau work of Alphonse Mucha, and this will have an inlay based on his 1898 work “Dance”. I have it all mapped out for production on the CNC (I’m no Larry Robinson inlay artist haha but this will still look incredible). I have MANY pics already taken stay tuned for new posts!
