Heres a guitar that I originally built as an extra instrument for Patrick (my assistant in training) to work on. Pat’s story is coming soon, but in a nutshell its been many years since I’ve had a good assistant, and this young guy shows some promise. The first thing i concentrate on with assistants is training them how to do high quality finishing using a thin build, high end look and very good detailing. This is one of Patricks first clear coat / polish jobs and its fantastic. Dipped in glass is the term haha! This one turned out right on par with the other guitars here at the shop and was scooped up by my client Bryce Sutherland.
Also this one is a featherweight! Single pc pine body with a spruce top- check out that weight reading pic (no hardware yet). Sounds great- a real woody electric jazz tone!
